Lenmontag was brought to works in one of the largest road projects in the history of Russia, a project with federal significance: the Western High-Speed Diameter of St. Petersburg. According to this subcontract, Lenmontag Steelworks and Lenmontag Civil Works Department have undertaken to install orthotropic plates for WHSD bridges, to manufacture and install a number of other metal structures (in particular, metal trusses and elements of span structures).

Results: elements of bridge structures were installed and put into operation. Namely, these are orthotropic plates, trusses, framed and transit metal structures; metal structures for supporting columns and service transitions. We have manufactured large-tonnage steel products, which are now rightfully make the pride of Lenmontag Steelworks. The execution of the contract took three years. Success ensured the continuation of Lenmontag involvement into this project.
